Frequently asked questions

Will the tower tip over?

Anchor it in a 30 L planter half-filled with concrete, or strap to a wall.

Can I run the tower without electricity?

Yes — gravity-feed from a 20 L bucket placed 1 m above the tower top.

How much produce does one tower yield?

About 8-12 kg of leafy greens per quarter.

Will roots clog the tube?

Only if you don't flush. Weekly flushing prevents root mat buildup.

Is PVC safe for food crops?

Yes — non-toxic PVC pipes used for water supply are food-safe. Avoid PVC labeled for sewage.
