Whitefly Biocontrol Strategies

Whitefly infestations look harmless — a few specks on your tomato leaves. Two weeks later your greenhouse is a cloud. Here's the biological way to stop them.
Yellow sticky traps
Whiteflies obsess over yellow. Hang one A5-sized sticky card per 10 sq ft, 6 inches above the canopy. You'll catch 80% of adults in week one.
Encarsia formosa
This tiny parasitoid wasp lays eggs inside whitefly larvae. Release 3 per affected plant, weekly for 4 weeks. Available from Pest Control of India.

Neem + soap spray
Same recipe as aphids: 5 ml neem + 2 ml soap per litre. Spray undersides at dusk every 5 days.
Quarantine new plants
Every nursery plant carries eggs. Keep new arrivals isolated for 2 weeks before introducing them to your greenhouse.
